Make Wind Power

You have seen a windmill in most typical Holland postcards. It looks similar to airplane propellers but instead of stirring the wind to create a powerful thrust to move the plane, it does the reverse. A typical wind turbine waits for the wind blow in order to work. So depending on the wind direction the propeller must turn to face the wind flow perpendicularly. Usually, a yaw or a flipper that looks like an airplane’s tail is used to guide the wind blades to face the wind. (more…)

Home wind power is a goal shared by many around the world. The ability to fully supply one’s home energy needs using renewable energy sources is beginning to get on everyone’s to-do list of home improvements. And for good reason. It’s clean, green energy, which is good for the planet, and it’s becoming cheaper each year for the average homeowner to get started. The kinetic energy that is present in the wind is converted into mechanical energy or electricity. Basically, wind energy is definitely renewable being free from pollution, fuel-free, it does not emit greenhouse gasses and free from toxic or radioactive waste.
